House Broken

"Okay," Yosuke said with a big smile.

Azarov was just finishing his class, when the fire alarm went off. He sighed. “ Everyone you know what to do....after all...someone pulls it everyday."

Lyov blinked, looking around. Everyday? Someone must be really bored. He stood up with the rest of the class, who calmly walked outside.

Snowman ran his fingers through his hair as he scowled, walking after them.

Lyov looked behind him to the teacher. "Uh... Mr. Azarov, who pulls it everyday?" He asked curiously.

"We don't know. He's never been caught." The teacher sighed, before noticing Nobu carrying Yosuke on his back. “ Looks like Yosuke got hurt again...."

Lyov scratched the back of his head, looking a little embarrassed. "That was my fault. I wasn't watching where I was going... I didn't know someone could fall that easily." He said, watching him, finally feeling a little guilt.

"It's okay." Yosuke piped up, while Snowman avoided eye contact with Nobu.

Nobu smiled. "As long as you're at his every beck and call--" He looked at Snowman and winked-- "he'll forgive you."

Lyov frowned. "You aren't mad, are you Yosuke-kun?"

"Nope, it happens all the time and it's an accident, so why would I be mad?" Yosuke asked. He was so cute he couldn't help but smile.

Lyov smiled slightly.

"You could help him with his homework." Nobu said. "I hear you ranked number one one your entrance test, Lyov."

"Mm. Yeah." He said. He obviously didn't think it was as big a deal as everyone else did.

Snowman smiled. “ Sounds like a good idea." He mused, looking at Lyov.

Lyov sighed. Great, now THEY were volunteering him for things he didn't really want to do. "... If he wants me to." He said flatly.

Yosuke blushed slightly as he hummed. “ Only if you want to." He said reassuringly. Snowman smiled at this, as they waited for tbe fire drill to end.

Lyov sat with Yosuke at his house, feeling a little uncomfortable. He'd never been in such a nice house before... He was afraid to touch anything, in case it broke. "You have a nice house." He said politely, looking over Yosuke's homework.

"Thanks." He sighed, as he held his pencil. "You know, my grades aren't that bad...you don't have to help me if you don't want to." he reminded him.

It was a lot better than being home. At least he wouldn't have to hear that woman threatening to take away his computer all the damned time. "This could be fun." He said with an unsure smile. "Besides... I owe you, anyway." He could just imagine what his adoptive mother would say to him once she heard he was the cause of the boy that she wanted Lyov to idolize.

"It's no problem really. You are far more than helpful to me...most people don't even want to help me when they see me in trouble." Yosuke admitted.

Lyov tilted his head, a curious look on his face. "Why? You seems so popular at school... Everyone speaks so highly of you."

"It's a rouse...they want to keep up appearances for the Chief's son, while disliking him as much as they're allowed." Yosuke replied quietly.

Lyov frowned, his eyebrows knitting together. "So they're all a bunch of prudes... I thought as much." He said bitterly. "Is your dad as great as they say?"

"I don't know...I don't pay attention anymore." Yosuke replied. "If I don't pay attention to someone who pays little attention to me I'd feel better right?" he shrugged half assed, and looked at his homework again.

"I'm sorry... My... Ugh... Mei squeals about him a lot. But... I'll pay attention to you." he said, before quickly adding. "I-I mean, as a friend."

Yosuke gave him a warm smile. "Thank you Lyov...I'll pay attention to you too."

Meanwhile, Snowman had just finished packing up homework to grade, and was about to head out for his car, when he ran into Nobu. He yelped in surprise, and nearly fell over, dropping his papers. "S...Sorry." he said, looking at the papers and not at him.

Nobu knelt down, helping him pick the papers up. He sighed softly, tilting his head to try and get him to meet his eye. "Did I do something wrong?" He asked, a frown on his face. "Are you mad at me?"

He turned his head fighting a blush. "N...No...not at all." he mumbled, his heart pounding in his ears. Oh why must he be so awkward with him?
